  1. It has been a tremendous pleasure and honor to have been part of the team that has made the publication of THE JET a reality. I have no doubt that the content of this book will enrich the lives of countless thousands throughout the world. With great admiration and respect for Benny Urquidez, Tom Bleecker

  2. Upon reading the manuscript as my husband worked on this book, I was fascinated and impressed with the life of Mr. Urquidez. He has definately made an impressionable mark on many.
I have never seen my husband work so hard on any project as I have on this book. I admire that about him. This book, I believe will be one of his many great accomplishments.

  3. Best wishes and congratulations on the new book. May your warrior spirit spring eternal to the next generation of martial artists. God bless.
    Scott Montoya

  4. May God bless you and your family and keep you safe in the years to come! I plan on getting a copy of your book as soon as I am able.

  5. Dear Mr Bleecker,

I have just ordered the hard bound ($49.95) edition of the “Benny The Jet” book to include his signature.

    Thank you,
    Dov S-S Simens

  6. It was good seeing you again at Jeff Speakman’s Tournament in Las Vegas last June, Looking forward to reading your new book. Wishing you continued success.

  7. I have been a “student” of Martial Arts now for half a century and have observed many many individuals whose skill set far exceeds mine. In watching many of Benny’s fights I will make two comments: (1) His physical skills are obvious and he is one of a very gifted few. (2) His “Mental Skill Set” is beyond any I have ever seen. His ability to control all of his emotions and maintain an “attitude of absolute serenity” prior to and during a bout – to me is the sign of “TRUE MASTERY!” I am looking forward to reading this book and learning more about him.

To train with him and to see how he treat the people around him was……a Masterpiece. Thank you Sensei Benny Urquidez, keep going for the next 28 Years. Sven Goecke

  14. Superlatives are insufficient to describe Mr. Urquidez’s talent, discipline, character and career. A true spiritual warrior and the stuff of legends.

  15. It’s nice to see that Sensei Benny’s story is in print. He is one of a kind and I look forward to reading about his amazing journey. God bless you Sensei.

  16. I am so honored and consider myself blessed to know one of the greatest men on earth, and I am not just referring to Sensei Benny as a martial artist. He is truly one of the greatest men ever as a human being. There is no need to talk about his martial arts skills and teachings, as anybody who is in martial arts knows of his talent and his contribution to the art. Sensei, congratulations on the book. I am in an awe every time I watch you teach, perform, or talk. I don’t think the awe will ever go away, as you have so much knowledge that there is always an “aha” moment with you.
    Love, honor and respect…
    Sensei Sara Zamhariri

  17. Wow, brilliant site design and style! How very long will you be blogs pertaining to? you made writing a blog glance quick. The general appearance within your website is wonderful, while well for the reason that content material!

  18. Benny has been an inspiration to a generation of martial artist and a great role model and champion.

  19. I started martial arts in 1973. Soon afterwards, I bought my first martial arts magazine ”Karate Illustrated.” The cover story was ”Karate clan challenges the nation.” I was fascinated by the young martial arts champion (Benny Urquidez, only a few years older than myself) on the cover. With long hair and a beautiful flying side kick, he seemed to leap out of the page! Years later, in 1984, I promoted a Benny ”The Jet” Urquidez seminar in my hometown. Needless to say, but I will anyway, it as a dream come true. Better yet, Sensei Benny proved to be even better than I ever expected: a legendary champion, great technician and a wonderful human being. The perfect role model. I started the martial arts because of Bruce Lee. I continued training for some 40 years because of Benny ”The Jet” Urquidez. I still dream of training again with the living legend.

  21. Sensei, you know you’ve changed my life…thank you again. It’s been six years since I’ve been gone. Of course I miss you, but you have trained and inspired me so much over the thirty one years since I met you, that you are and will always be in my life and my thoughts. I don’t call often enough, but I think of you every day, as I plan the UKIDOKAN classes I teach in Austin, Tx…currently at one martial arts school and two boxing gyms. I am frequently amazed that I meet talented fighters and their teachers that are now learning techniques that you were showing us 20-30 years ago! I haven’t met anyone that comes close to possessing the knowledge or teaching ability that you have. You are someone that has never let me down or disappointed me, and has always given more that I expected. I eagerly look forward to reading this new book, as it will feel like being “home” again.

I know the book is going to be a great read , ive seen all your fights . You are the real CHAMPION BENNY The Jet and i have met you at Crocodile Martial Arts Australia . Kencho Anthony Hockley introduced you to us with the greatest respect and you sighed my daughters homework book as that was all the paper she had . One of the most greatest encounters of my life . You are a gentleman and true CHAMPION greatest respect .

  24. Enlightement is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightement is the crumbling away of untruth. It’s seeing throught the facade of pretence. Everything we imagined to be TRUE.
Sensei Beny, YOU ARE THE TRUE.
    Thank You .
    Jacek Zajac

  28. Some of my fondest memories as a young kid would be some of the time I spent at the Jet Center. I remember watching it get built. I have not seen Sensei Benny in well over 25 years. But his wisdom and way of life still resonate with me to this day. I cant wait to read this book cover to cover. What an outstanding Life, Teacher and Person.

    God bless and Congrats,

    Robert Schmerber

  29. Thank you, Benny, for being a shining example of Dedication and Heart. You have made a difference in many generations of martial artists and you will continue to do so forever through “The Jet”!!!

  30. Sensei Benny, your teaching has meant a lot to me over the years & I have passed your teaching and philosophy onto my students. For this I thank you. Looking forward to your book!

  31. Sensei Benny Urquidez is simply one of the most profound beings to have been gifted to us in this lifetime. He is a Master in every way and a Sacred Teacher. It is a blessing to receive his teachings, as there is something to be learned from him always and in all ways, defying the boundaries of Martial Arts, its Ukidokan, a way of life. Thank you Sensei Benny for this book, for all that you are, and for all that you are to me and so very many. Aho! Nancy Blue Raven Warrior

  32. I am so honored & humbled to have met & spent time with Benny Urquidez (& his beautiful, devoted wife, Sara “Eaglewoman”). He may be “deadly” and masterful in Martial Arts, but he & Sara gave their time, love & prayers during a very dark time of illness, to which I will never forget and hold near & dear to my heart. Not only is he an exceptional, extraordinary Martial Artist, he is an exceptional, extraordinary humanitarian, physical & spiritual teacher. We are so fortunate that he walks this earth with us with such grace, love & kindness. I am very much looking forward to reading his life story…

  33. You taught my old best friend Bob Burton in the late 70s. He in turn taught me. We were both from Calgary. Muai Thai is one of the best things I learned in my life. I now practice Aikido and Tai Chi. Thanks Benny. Sorry I missed our dinner. I somehow checked off the wrong day on my calander……………Oh well, maybe some day I’ll meet you in person…..POPEYE POPPs.

  34. I deeply respect Master Benny, his career is unparalleled in the international martial arts community –and beyond his career as an athlete and fighter, the man has managed to become a highly evolved leader and ethical role model. This is a book to own. This is an author to meet. This is a man who has something to say that is worth listening to. I’d say, without a doubt, that Benny Urquidez is one of our nation’s (the world’s) living martial arts treasures, like a national treasure, not only for people who love and respect the martial arts, but for anyone who enjoys knowing people who have gone through the fire and come out on the other side centered, sane, and grounded.

  35. Reading about Sensei Benny The Jet’s life is something out of a movie, it’s so amazing it cannot be real, but it truly is!
Share in the life of a legend and be inspired like never before.

  36. We have all been waiting since 1981 when Sensei Benny’s last book released “Training & Fighting Skills” it was an instant classic and a must for any serious martial artist to have in their library. Now it’s time once again for all of us to enjoy and more importantly learn from the greatest fighter of all time. I know that this new book “THE JET” will once again become an instant classic and go into my personal Hall of Fame right next to “Tao of Jeet Kune Do.” Sensei Benny, I thank you for being the GIFT that you are to our industry and I so enjoy your lessons at TKC.

  37. Congratulations Sensei Benny! Your legacy continues to live on and now so many more people will have exposure to not only the great martial artist and kickboxer, but the man behind the legend. It’s an honor and a privilege to know you and your family. I am forever blessed and humbled. Looking forward to a great read! Ouse! Much love and respect. Nancy De Long

  38. Hi Sensei. I am so happy to see that you have been so blessed to have accomplished so much in life. Much happiness, fortune, and more blessings to you. Thank you for being the good friend that you had been and being a positive person. Much love to you, Sara, Monique, and little Levi!

  39. Sensei Benny is one of the greatest martial arts warriors of all time, and proved it over and over again during kickboxing’s wild and chaotic infancy back in the 1970s. His victories over champion Japanese kickboxers at their own sport and on their own turf cemented his immortality in our history books. What martial artist wouldn’t want to read his extraordinary story? Buy his new book; you’ll thank me later that you did!

  40. I can’t even explain the impact Sensei Benny Urquidez has made in my life not only through training but in Life. Can’t wait for it to come out.
